MIRI: The Welfare, Health, and Community Sub-Committee (WH&CS) of the Miri Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) recently carried out a meaningful charity project by visiting two needy families at Tudan Desaras Phase 6 and Permyjaya.

According to a press release today (April 8), during both visits, which were led by the sub-committee chairperson Dr Uma Devi, a short talk covering important topics such as the dangers of plastics, the importance of cleanliness, and healthy food was delivered, aimed at educating the family members on proper health and hygiene practices.

Miri City Council representative Roslan Ali also highlighted the services provided by the council and the approach for addressing related issues.

As part of the initiative to promote eco-friendly practises, the team also handed out stainless steel food containers to the family members, emphasising the hazards of plastic containers.

These stainless steel food containers were generously donated by a group of anonymous donors.

Miri MRC, therefore, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to these donors for their kind contribution.
