KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s ‘warring’ statement came at a very timely moment, said Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) deputy youth chief Miro Simuh (pic).

He was referring to Abang Johari’s speech at the swearing-in of local councillors here on July 31 when the chief minister spoke of ‘warring’ against Pakatan Harapan (PH) federal government.

“There have been so many unwarranted statements, especially from Malaya PH leaders,” he told New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.

Miro, who is also Serembu assemblyman, felt that they came to Sarawak not to aid in its development, but
rather to topple Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government.

“Why are Malaya PH leaders so insistent on taking the state government when the federal government under them is in turmoil and rocked by scandals?” he questioned.

Miro urged them to concentrate instead on fulfilling their manifesto rather than
antagonising Sarawakians.

“I urge all Sarawakians to reject them, and instead give full support to the chief minister to develop the state regardless,” he said.
