Missing female student found safe

Bomba photo shows the girl reunited with her family after she had gone missing from school in the morning.

SARATOK: A female student from SK Engkudu, who was reported missing early this morning (Mar 26), has been found safe and sound.

The 11-year-old girl had gone missing while waiting for breakfast in her class at 5.50 am.

Her father immediately reported the incident to the authorities for assistance.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that the girl was discovered in a farm area by villagers at 3.24 pm.

She was found about 1km from the school, safe and sound, and was then escorted back to the longhouse.

The girl was taken to Saratok Hospital for a medical examination.

Following that, the search operation concluded at 4.00 pm.

Earlier, firefighters from the Saratok station had been dispatched to the location after receiving a distress call at 8.27 am.

The search operation included assistance from the police, school staff, and local residents.
