MIRI: A nonagenarian who went missing in the jungle at Arur Ritan Pa’ Lungan, Bario, was found alive by a search and rescue (SAR) team yesterday.
The victim, Balong Brouk @ Pun Paran, 99, from Pa’Lungan, was found alive at 1.25pm yesterday about 2km from his house.
He was reported missing by his family on Thursday morning at 11.50am, when he went into a nearby jungle to look for wood and did not return.
Upon receiving the report, a SAR team was immediately activated consisting personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), army, police, volunteer firefighters, and villagers.
