Mohamed Fauzi Kamis is First Division Infantry commander

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Major-General Datuk Mohamed Fauzi Kamis has replaced Major-General Datuk Hassan Embong as First Division Infantry commander.

A ceremony to hand over duties was held at Muara Tuang Camp on Friday which was witnessed by Army Eastern Field Commander Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Sofi Md Lepi.

The ceremony also saw an army parade consisting of 27 officers and 461 personnel.

For the record, Hassan assumed the position of First Division commander on Sept 5, 2022  and will transfer to the Army headquarter’s Inspectorate Division.

“The First Division has been able to execute various assignments well and perfectly either in terms of administration, operations, sports and other related matters.

“I hope that this cooperation that has been given is maintained and improved further to continue and ensure the First Division is a well- integrated and respected organisation,” he said during his speech.

Hassan also reminded everyone not to get involved in criminal activities and immoral activities such as drug abuse, illicit relationships, criminal cases and bullying.

“I would like to state that the army does not compromise on the matter of drug abuse and termination would be the end of disgraced actions.

“Love the organisation, yourself and our families. Stay away from any drug related cases,” he said.

Also present was the Commander of Third Malaysian Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Adnan Hashim.
