KUCHING: A rented room at a shophouse in Green Heights here was destroyed in an early morning fire today (Feb 13).
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that upon receiving an emergency call around 3.50am, firemen from the Tabuan Jaya station were deployed to the scene.
The blaze occurred on the second floor and no injuries or casualties were reported. It was brought under control around 4.10am before it was completely extinguished minutes later.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are yet to be ascertained.
