SERIAN: A motorcyclist was killed after he lost control of his bike and crashed into a road divider at KM81, Kuching-Sri Aman Road on Friday.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu stated that the incident involving the victim identified as civil servant Iskandar Beka Liewman, 35, occurred around 9.17am.
“The victim was said to be heading to Serian when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a road divider.
“As a result of the incident, he was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said in a statement.
Supt Alexson noted that the body was brought to Serian Hospital for post mortem, and the victim’s next of kin would be informed on the incident.
The case is classified under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
