MRCS Kuching receives ambulance as donation

KUCHING: Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) Kuching Branch has received donation of a new ambulance worth RM181,500 from the non-governmental organisation (NGO), 38 Yayasan Amal Cinta.

Witnessed by Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, the handover of the ambulance took place at MRCS Kuching Branch, Jalan Reservoir here today.

The Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development also lauded the significant societal contributions made by the NGO.

“Having worked with them for some time, they are very willing and dedicated in lending a hand to those who need help.

“They have made a lot of charitable contributions to the society irrespective of race, religion, and location. They reach beyond urban areas, extending their efforts to rural communities too.

“Although they are still a new society, their kind-heartedness has benefited the society at large,” she said in her speech during the handover ceremony here today.

The donated ambulance is a Type B Ambulance, completed with basic life support equipment including stretchers, oxygen tank, first aid kit and a cardiac monitor.

Also present were MRCS Sarawak Chapter chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan, MRCS Kuching Branch chairman Datuk Dr Abang Abdul Rauf Abang Zain, 38 Yayasan Amal Cinta founder Datuk Seri Ho Kim Hee and Kuching Love Book Association founder May Loo.
