Nangka Futsal Challenge offers lucrative prize money

SIBU: The Nangka Futsal Challenge is set to offer a total cash prize of RM20,000 to the champion of the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from Sept 9 to Oct 22.

The competition is a collaborative effort by the Nangka Sports, Culture, Social and Unity Secretariat, together with the Nangka Youth wings of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and PBB Nangka Service Centre.

The tournament will be split into two series, with the first series taking place from Sept 9 to Oct 15. Matches are scheduled for weekends (Saturday and Sunday), spanning a period of around six weeks.

Only the top two teams from each of the six futsal courts located in the Nangka constituency will advance to the second series, set to take place on Oct 21 and 22.

The participating futsal courts include those in Kampung Nangka, Kampung Datu, Kampung Datu Baru, Kampung Jeriah, Teku and Kemuyang.

Interested teams are required to register with a fee of RM100 per team. A total of 96 teams will be allowed to participate, and the deadline for registration is Aug 30.
