KUCHING: The usage of ‘Segulai Sejalai’ as a unity slogan nationwide reflects the unity that exists in Sarawak.

In stating this, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan applauded the Prime Minister’s move to use the said Iban phrase as a slogan nationwide.

“The Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) uses that phrase to set an example to other states on how united Sarawak has been.

“Our unity has existed long before and that is why we can see everywhere here we can mingle together with other races without any issue,” he said.

He said this during a press conference after officiating at the launching of KupiKupi FM Sarawak at iCom Square here today.

As such, he encouraged the people to continue to be united despite the differences in one’s ethnicity.

“Continue to be undivided and cooperate with one another with the unity that we have.

“Having said that, I am proud and applaud the good act by the Prime Minister in choosing ‘Segulai Sejalai’ as the unity slogan nationwide,” he added.
