BINTANGOR: The construction of the new Sungai Dabai Bridge at Mile 6, KJD Bintangor Road, along with the upgrading of the gravel road to a paved one, is set to facilitate the daily activities of the local residents.

The Rural Transformation Project (RTP) for the Meradong area, with a budget of RM200,000 has been approved and will be carried out under the supervision of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarikei Division.

During a site visit on Wednesday, Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing urged the local residents, particularly Tuai Rumah Ranggi, to cooperate with the appointed contractor in the implementation of the project.

Simultaneously, he expressed hope for additional allocations to be approved for further RTP projects in the state constituency.

Meanwhile, Ranggi, representing the local residents, extended gratitude to the Sarawak government and, in particular, the Meradong assemblyman for their concern and approval of RTP funds for the construction of the new Sungau Dabai Bridge and the upgrading of the road.
