56 take part in CommunityKU Development Lab

KUCHING: About 56 people participated in the  CommunityKU Development Lab (Community of Kuching North) organised by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) from July 29 until yesterday at Merdeka Palace Hotel here.

 The lab was in line with the DBKU’s mission “To Enhance Quality of Life by Creating a Conducive Environment, City Citizen Involvement and Best Service Delivery” and DBKU’s Vision of “Kuching- a vibrant liveable city of choice and dynamic city”.

It aimed to further develop community development in the Kuching North City areas in terms of the environmental, social, and economic  aspects. 

The lab was attended by government officials from selected departments/agencies and the people from the five main constituencies of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) under the DBKU administration, namely, Satok, Pantai Damai, Samariang, Tupong and Demak to improve the mindset and to plan projects/programmes/activities that could make long-term contributions to the local community.

 The closing ceremony was graced by DBKU Deputy Director, Haji Morshidi Ahmad.
