KUCHING: The State Operation Centre here received a distress call at 5.12am yesterday, informing it that a double-storey bungalow at Lot 77, Lorong 5A Taman Kenny Hill here was on fire.
Following the call, Batu Lintang BOMBA dispatched 10 firefighters in two vehicles led by PBK II Awang Saifull Bin Awang Nusi and 17 volunteer firefighters led by PBK II Avtar Singh in two vehicles.
The operation was headed by PgKB II Gregory Kurung Ak Suwen. Also present were TPgB Faizal Bin Sahari (Batu Lintang Fire Station chief ), PPgB Mohammad Helmi Bin Ismail.
The team arrived at 5.18am and managed to put out the fire completely at 6.04am. All the seven occupants of the bungalow were safe.
