KAPIT: The RM4 million Song Waterfront project has taken off the ground. Katibas assemblyman Datuk Ambrose Blikau launched the project with an earth-breaking ceremony for the proposed Song Waterfront Phase II & III projects yesterday.

At the same time, Blikau also launched the Pesta Dabai which will end tomorrow.

Upon completion, the project will be a new landmark for the Song district. Phase II of the project is expected to be completed by Oct 31, 2019 while Phase III is expected to be completed by Jan 30, 2020.

Commenting on the projects, Ambrose suggested planting several dabai trees and to convert the existing children’s playground area into a parking lot to cater for the increasing number of vehicles in Song.

Meanwhile, he also proposed for a van station area, a rest and relaxation centre (R&R), an Anjung Kasih centre and a space to sell local products.
