KANOWIT: The Ngemah Service Centre recently provided wheelchair assistance to eight beneficiaries.
Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana stated that with the assistance, the Ngemah Service Centre intends to continue assisting the needy.
“The welfare programme coordinated by the Ngemah Assemblyman Service Centre is to ensure that people in need get comfortable wheelchair facilities,” he said during the handover ceremony.
He also urged village leaders to be more proactive in distributing information to relevant parties when other groups require assistance.
He went on to say that the Service Centre also made one-time contributions to help residents who had experienced bereavement in the family, and to those who have been affected by recent floods and landslides.
