KUALA LUMPUR: The Prisons Department has cancelled the annual family visit sessions with inmates at all prisons on Christmas Day this year.
In a brief statement today, the department said visiting sessions would be replaced by Skype and other facetime, and prepaid mobile services that were available.
The statement said that the move was made to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at prison facilities and its institutions. – Bernama
