No shortage of basic necessities in Miri

MIRI: There have been no complaints of any shortfall in basic necessity supplies in Miri division.

Inspections conducted by officers from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) found all was well in business premises.

According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) on Monday (Feb 7),  there is sufficient supply of necessities here.

The inspections included checks on the maximum price set for chicken and chicken eggs, the placement of price tags on goods for sale, sales of children’s toys as well as measuring scales.

Business premises were also found complying with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government such as providing customer registration books, MySejahtera QR codes, temperature measuring devices and hand sanitisers.

They were also found observing the one-meter physical distancing and having a limited number of customers at their premises at any given time.
