Norlidah tours Borneo Cultural Museum

KUCHING: Wife of the Sabah Head of State, Toh Puan Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Norlidah R.M. Jasni continued her official visit to Kuching by leading a delegation from Sabah to visit the largest museum in Malaysia, the Borneo Cultural Museum (BCM) here yesterday.

According to a press release by the Sarawak Information Department (JaPen) yesterday, she and her entourage were accorded a warm welcome upon arrival at BCM by the Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Art cum Minister of Youth, Sport and Entrepreneur Development’s wife Datin Seri Zuraini Abdul Jabbar.

“This visit to the BCM is part of the itinerary for Norlidah and entourage’s three-day official visit to Sarawak starting from Aug 24.

“Upon arrival, she was taken on a tour to every gallery of the five-level museum that has its own themes which include the exhibition hall, children’s gallery, gift shop, arts and crafts gallery, dance studio, and exhibition space equipped with audiovisual technology,” said the statement.

After completing their tour to BCM, Norlidah and her entourage then proceeded to visit CENTEXS and the Laila Taib Welfare Complex in Jalan Sultan Tengah before attending a banquet at the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly banquet hall in the evening.

Also present during the visit to the museum were the wife of the Sarawak Premier, who is also the Sarawak Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers(SABATI) president,Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, Sabah Chief Minister wife’s Datin Seri Juliah Salag and Deputy State Secretary (Operation) Datuk Dr Sabariah Putit.
