KUCHING: The Lions Club of Kuching One Earth is delighted to announce the upcoming “Reminiscence of Roses” Charity Concert, a magical fusion of music and charity dedicated to raising funds for Pusat Dialisis Persatuan Divine Will Kuching, a non-profit organisation committed to serving chronic kidney disease patients in need of hemodialysis.
The concert is set to take place on Nov 15 at 7.30pm at the Grand Riverine Ballroom, Kuching.
“The event promises to transport attendees back to the golden era of Shanghai’s songs and dances from the 1930s to the 1960s, creating an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and goodwill.
“Highlighting the concert are performances by acclaimed local soprano singer Wendy Yong, alongside a talented ensemble of musicians and dancers.
“Additionally, the prestigious Singapore Keat Hong Chinese Orchestra will grace the stage, with local artist Marvin Jong serving as the music producer, offering a diverse range of musical styles,” it said in a statement.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian is expected to attend.
“The primary objective of this charity concert is to support Divine Will Society Kuching in its mission to provide critical dialysis services to those in need, particularly from the B40 income group.
“The centre’s establishment comes at an estimated cost of RM456,800, and with the pressing need for additional dialysis machines in Sarawak, public and corporate support is essential.”
