The right shoes will also allow you to walk confidently throughout a function.

Choosing a great pair of heels may appear trivial for a pageant participant, but it is one of the most important decisions you will make in preparation to slay your wardrobe and competition.

From closed-toe pageant shoe options to strappy ones for all occasions, the writer took a closer look at a fabulous line of diverse styles at a unique bespoke shoe boutique in the upscale neighbourhood of Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur.

Dato Lewré Lew, the founder of Lewré Bespoke, is an absolute gentleman. He personally invited the writer to the official launch of the Lewré Bespoke store in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, despite the fact that a public relations representative had already approached the writer.

There was a large crowd there, including KL’s elite and celebrities, clients, and the media.

Lew was all smiles and welcoming as he walked across the room to greet the writer as she gingerly walked into his charmingly decorated ‘Garden of Eden’.

The 3,600 square foot galleria offered consumers an elevated, luxurious, and personalised retail experience unlike any other.

Dato’ Suriani Dato’ Ahmad, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) officiated at the grand launch of Lewré Bespoke’s first flagship store.

Lewré has long been recognised as a successful brand, with its products available in the majority of Malaysia’s major malls and department stores.

While Lewré caters to the mass market, Lewré Bespoke is a sister brand that caters exclusively to the high-end market, aiming at customers who value exclusivity and customisation. Their flagship store’s slogan is “It’s very personal.”

This bespoke store, outfitted with high-tech scanners and AI technology, is able to obtain precise measurements for each patron in order to produce an immaculate pair of shoes, handmade to fit the customer’s every desire.

The opening of the flagship store coincided with the brand’s 25th anniversary of establishing itself as a world-class shoe production and retail company capable of competing at the highest levels globally.

The brand has set a target of establishing over 100 stores across Asia by 2025, which will not only expand the brand’s reach and presence but will also promote Malaysia’s retail sector and boost the country’s economy.

As a showcase for what a homegrown Malaysian fashion retail brand can achieve, Lewré hopes that this will help drive Malaysia’s fashion industry forward by inspiring Malaysian entrepreneurs to venture internationally and increasing acceptance of Malaysian brands.

“We designed our bespoke store to represent the pinnacle of retail. We want our customers to come and have an experience that is unmatched anywhere in the world. The launch of this flagship store marks a significant milestone that will further drive us in our effort to lead Malaysia’s fashion industry on an international scale. We hope that our success and expansion plans will play a part in inspiring Malaysian entrepreneurs to showcase their talents, skills, and dedication to the world,” said Lew.

“It is my understanding that with the launch of this flagship store, Lewré intends to further drive the industry by establishing their stores across Asia by 2025, venturing from Malaysia to Australia, China, India, and so on. This will indefinitely create a multitude of job opportunities across various disciplines for fashion enthusiasts to gain experience and knowledge in the industry, while also pushing other local brands to match its endeavours and bringing Malaysia forward as a superior entrepreneurial country,” Suriani said.
