Over 300,000 expected at 17th Mooncake Festival

KUCHING: The 17th Kuching Intercultural Mooncake Festival held from September 17 to 24 at Carpenter Street from 6pm to 11pm is expected to draw 40,000 visitors every night.

Organised by The Federation of Kuching Division Community Association with Kuching Old Market Community Association, among the confirmed participants were Association of Sarawak Inbound Agencies (ASIA), Brunei Darussalam Consulate (Kuching), Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), Street Magic by See Hua Club, Business Exchange Forum and Calligraphy, and China Arts from Fushan China.

“I invite all Kuchingites to join us once again and bring your friends to celebrate our ‘City of Unity’ and enjoy the sights, sound and taste of Kuching Intercutural Mooncake Festival 2018.

“There is something for everyone,” said the festival Co-organising Chairman Sim Kiang Chiok at a press conference at Kompleks Islam Sarawak in Jalan P. Ramlee yesterday.
