KUCHING: The Maulidur Rasul Parade not only celebrates Prophet Muhammad’s birthday but also promotes unity and encourages people to emulate the Prophet’s teachings.

Deputy Energy and Environmental Sustainability Minister, Dr.Hazland Hipni said that the parade serves a reminder to come together and be inspired by the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

He also said the development of high-quality and skilled human capital is an important factor in supporting the social, cultural and economic growth of an area, especially in Demak Laut.

“Developing human capital plays an important role in shaping a society that can compete in any situation, which is in line with this year’s theme: ‘Sarawak Makmur Ummah Sejahtera,” he said.

The Maulidur Rasul celebration procession began from Kampung Bako Hulu and ended at Al Hidayah Mosque involving 21 contingents from all over Demak Laut with a total participation of nearly 700 people.
