Patra Ramli continues to lead union

The KESPEMS committee for the 2020-2023 term.

KUCHING: Patra Ramli has retained his post as the president of the Sarawak Education Lab Assistant Union (KESPEMS) for the 2020-2023 term.

Patra won without contesting in the union’s 4th triennial general meeting on Mar 27. He has been leading the union since its formation.

The vice president post was won by Ellison Bundan Lang from SMK Tun Abdul Razak; he also retained his post.

The union’s secretary is Hardlin Joliam (SMK Lake Bau), deputy secretary Norsihan Moli (SM Agama TUNAZ), treasurer Zuzulian Bujang (SMK Paku Bau) and deputy treasurer Lindar Mijar (SMK St Teresa).

The committee members are Alfian Ismail (SMK St Joseph), Belin Ebang (SMK Kuching High), Rubiah Ali (SM Seni Malaysia), Huzaimah Hamdan (SMK Tun Abang Haji Openg), Normalasari Pata (SMK Agama Matang), Khairul Najwa Abdullah (SMK Tun Abdul Razak Kuching), Inna Ismail (SMK Tun Abang Haji Openg) and Salwa Materang (SMK Abdul Gapor Stampin).

Several resolutions were adopted during the triennial general meeting including death donation for family members and official union allowances.

The  meeting was held at the Congress of Unions of Employees in Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) Sarawak office and officiated by Cuepacs chairman Ahmad Malie.

In his brief speech, Ahmad reminded the members to continue working hard and to be proud of what the union had achieved.

“If there are any issues to be addressed, please do so in a proper manner and not through cyber technology,” he added.
