KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) is ready to face any sort of election coming its way.
PBB vice president Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said the party’s preparation for election had begun since the last election.
“We have been preparing by conducting various programmes and activities continuously especially before the enforcement of movement control order (MCO) to curb the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement on Sunday (June 14).
Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also the Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and Kuching North City Commission) cum Utilities Assistant Minister (Water Supply), added he believed the 15th General Election (GE15) could be held any time.
He explained that the coming election would restore the rights of the people to decide and choose a government worthy to govern.
“Election is a common practice in a country that practises democracy. It can indirectly resolve the ongoing political turmoil at the federal level,” he said.
