KUCHING: Boosting Sarawak’s agricultural economics further may be one of the motions proposed during the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu’s (PBB) Triennial Delegates Meeting (TGM) next week.

PBB information chief Datuk Idris Buang opined that the proposal was to ensure Sarawak had sufficient food sources without having to depend on importing food.

“This is among the focus of the party’s leadership right now. When our economy increases, at the time strengthening the agriculture sector, food supplies will always be there,” he told the media at the PBB headquarters, Jalan Bako here today.

Besides that, he said the state under the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg was also strengthening the state’s economy through its oil and gas industry, hydrogen industry, and setting up of the Sovereign Wealth Fund.

“At the same time, we will continue the fight to ensure children of Sarawak have a good education as they are the future generation who will be the game changer to Sarawak.”
