KUCHING: Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) has picked engineer Jeffery Jimbun as its potential candidate for the Krian constituency and lawyer Sam Laya as its potential candidate for Ba’Kelalan constituency in the upcoming state election.
PDP Youth chief Robert Ayu said both Jeffery and Sam had been endorsed by PDP president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing to contest.
“PDP Youth will give its full and undivided support to these two members as potential candidates in the next state election,” he said when meeting the community at Rh Jaga, Ng Gerenjang, Ulu Krian.
Robert also thanked the party leadership for giving members of the youth wing the chance to be potential candidates in the coming state election.
“Both are well received and accepted by the grassroots,” he said.
He added that both Jeffery and Sam had been moving around in their respective areas after the lifting of the movement control order (MCO).
Earlier, 200 people from 22 villages were present to attend the function at Rh Jaga, Ng Gerenjang, Ulu Krian.
