KUCHING: Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, visited the Microalgae Production Facility at Demak Laut Industrial Park here yesterday,
According to a press release by the Information Department (JaPen), during the visit, Chow was briefed on algae cultivation by the Chief Executive Officer of SEDC Energy, Robert Hardin, and the Head of Advanced Expertise Common Centre at PETRONAS Group Research and Technology, Adam Nasir Nawi.
Chow, who arrived in Kuching on October 3 for an three-day official visit, also paid courtesy calls on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, visited the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) and the Hydrogen Refuelling Station before heading to the Microalgae Production Facility.
Also present during the visit were Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, and Deputy Secretary of the Sarawak State Government (Operations), Datuk Hii Chang Kee.
