PERKIM Lundu branch receives donation

LUNDU: Around RM5,000 was donated to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia (PERKIM) Lundu branch in order to organise any PERKIM activities. This was given alongside donation of rehal to Pehin Sri Haji Adenan Mosque from families of Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu.

Tanjung Datu assemblyman, Azizul Annuar said that a religious programme to commemorate Israk and Mikraj day is being held every year during the era of the late Premier, Pehin Sri Adenan Satem.

“This will be continued in the future as a yearly programme, in collaboration with Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Religious Bureau Lundu branch, PERKIM and committees from Pehin Sri Haji Adenan Mosque, and I hope that this collaboration will continue in the future,” he said.

In the meantime, Jamilah, who is chairman of PERKIM, thanked those who attended the talk and the sermon delivered by Hazfa Bakri Hassan.

Also present during the event was Lundu District Officer Gustian Durani, secretary of Lundu District Council, Norashikin Brahim and other guests.
