BINTULU: Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd today distributed donations in the form of dry food, Mandarin oranges and ‘angpow’ (red envelopes containing cash) to residents of the Bintulu Methodist Children’s Home in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2023 Touch of Love Programme.
Stakeholder Management and Administration manager Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd – Sarawak Asset, Suryani Dohan stated that the programme was part of the company’s community outreach efforts to fulfil its corporate social responsibility.
“Supplies of food, Mandarin oranges and ‘angpow’ were given to the parties visited through this programme,” he said.
Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming completed the symbolic donation handover to the officer in charge of the Bintulu Methodist Children’s Home, Pastor Pau See See.
Pang praised the company’s efforts to make welfare a shared responsibility so that more people in need could be helped.
