PADAWAN: Police here are on the hunt for a group of men believed to be involved in a fight that went viral on social media recently.

A viral 1-minute, 24-second video on Facebook, which showed a group of individuals fighting, was detected by the police yesterday (Jan 22).

In the video, the group was fighting in the middle of the road, and not long after, a car came into the picture and rammed through some of the men.

However, it was not known how many were injured or how many were involved in the incident.

Padawan police chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, in a statement, said they had received a police report on Jan 18 from one of the victims in the fight.

The investigation found that the incident happened in front of a car park in front of Tong Yang Siburan Supermarket.

“Our men are now actively tracking down all of the suspects involved in the fight.

Abang Zainal believed that the incident stemmed from an issue of dissatisfaction over cars being blocked by others.

The case is still under police investigation, and the public is advised not to speculate or make baseless statements as it may affect the investigation.
