Police officer tests positive, in ICU

SIBU: An assistant superintendent police officer who is serving in the Sibu district police headquarters here is currently being treated in the intensive care unit after being found positive for Covid-19.

The news was confirmed by Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit when contacted on Monday (Apr 26).

“The police officer was found positive last Friday (Apr 23) and is being taken care by the Ministry of Health,” he said, adding that the officer has not received the Covid-19 vaccine due to asthma.

He also said that almost every police personnel here have already received their second dose of vaccine.
