MUKAH: Two Indian undergraduates at Politeknik Mukah (PMU) here received contributions from the institute’s Students Affairs and Development Department and Students Representatives Council (MPP) in conjunction with Deepavali on Friday.

Head of student affairs and development department Awang Annuar Awang Mansor handed over the contribution to Menakah A/P Ravi and Loshinee A/P Chandaran, both from the commerce department, at a simple ceremony at PMU here.

They could not return to their homes to celebrate with their respective families because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Mukah district is still listed as a green zone following that no cases have been recorded lately.

Despite that, local folk are always reminded to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place.

Besides that, various authorities have organised some Covid-19 awareness-related programmes here lately.
