MIRI: Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Information chief Abun Sui Anyit on Monday denied issuing any press statements regarding the appointment of Iswarni Morni as Sarawak PKR chairman.
Abun Sui, when met after filing a police report at the Central Police Station here, strongly refuted the press statement and denied issuing any.
“The statement is completely untrue. Somebody has been misusing my name.”
A police report on the fake press statement was lodged around 3.20pm on Monday.
The police report was lodged after the fake press statement was spotted circulating on social media on Feb 28.
On Feb 28, Julau MP Larry Sng quit as Sarawak PKR chairman, switching his support to the Perikatan Nasional government led by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
