KUCHING:  Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd has signed a collaboration agreement with Vestech Enegry Sdn Bhd and Alliance Bank Berhad to introduce solar ready homes in Sarawak.

Vestech Energy is a subsidiary of solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions provider, Solarvest Holdings Bhd.

Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi witnessed the exchange of the Memoradum of Understanding (MoU) documents between the three parties at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here, on Wednesday.

The collaboration aims to provide solar panels which are clean energy for the smart homes built by Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd at Samariang Avenue Phase 2.

Julaihi commended the initiative by Hornbill Networks Consortium, Vestech Energy and Alliance Bank to develop and build solar ready homes in Sarawak as a step in the right direction to ensure the state is able to meet its Post COVID Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030) economic goals and also reduce the carbon footprint.

Meanwhile, chief executive officer (CEO) of Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd Hanizam Hashim, said the initiative was to ensure Sarawak first solar ready homes set an exemplary model for other property developers to follow suit and promote sustainable development in Sarawak.
