BINTULU: The Ministry of Health (MoH) in collaboration with the Tanjong Batu Service Centre will organise ‘Jelajah Sihat Sarawakku’ programme in an effort to raise the awareness on the importance of health and its care.

According to the statement by UKAS, the said programme will be held from Feb 27 to Mar 4 from 9 am to 3 pm at several locations here.

As such, Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming commented that the programme is a government’s initiative to promote the importance of taking care of one’s health.

“This programme is an initiative to increase the awareness and knowledge of the general public, especially the B40 group, regarding the importance of personal health.

“Various free health screenings will be provided on the programme days such as blood, urine, body composition and body mass index (BMI) tests as well as physical examinations,” he said.

Among the locations of the programme are the Jabai Village Meeting Hall (February 27); Kpg Assyakirin Multipurpose Hall Phase 1 (February 28); Bintulu Hokkien Association Multipurpose Hall (March 1); Kpg Assyakirin Multipurpose Hall Phase 3 (March 2); The Spring Shopping Centre (March 3) and Kpg Assyakirin Multipurpose Hall Phase 2 on March 4.

With that, he called the members of the public to drop by and bring their own identification cards to get their free health screening at the said locations.
