ROBAN: Saratok MP Datuk Ali Biju has reminded the public not to disturb any components of the pipeline system to prevent water disruption.
“I was told by the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) that the disruption of water at the Roban to Brayang junction was due to the opening of the washout component by a irresponsible third party.
“The perpetrator has opened the component at the junction of the Sungai Sarang Longhouse, Lichok,” he said in a statement today.
Ali added the washout component was closed again by JBALB to ensure that the water pressure to the area returned to normal.
“It should also be understood that hilly areas and those at the end of the pipeline will take longer to recover in stages,” he added.
Meanwhile, regarding a complaint about the meter reading, he said that the water bill taken by JBALB was correct.
JBALB recommends users to check the plumbing system in their respective homes or refer to the JBALB Betong Division Office or JBALB Saratok District for further action.
