BINTANGOR: What was supposed to be a calm morning yesterday (June 10) in Kampung Muhibah turned out to be a shocking one with the presence of a python spotted in a chicken coop.
The incident happened around 8.50am when a man went to his coop to feed his chickens, but the sighting of a python left him stunned.
It then prompted him to contact the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) for immediate assistance.
Firemen from Bintangor station were promptly despatched to the scene, some three kilometres away, after receiving an emergency call.
On arrival, the reptile was spotted still inside the chicken coop, and it was coiled up after enjoying its breakfast.
The team used baiting techniques to safely capture the python.
Once captured, the reptile was later released back into its original habitat, away from the residential area.
