MIRI: Alert neighbours helped apprehend a 29-year-old man before he could get away with a rabbit he allegedly stole from a house in Desa Indah 2 Wednesday.
The man was spotted climbing down from the house barely 20 minutes after midnight carrying a sling bag in which he concealed the rabbit.
Fortunately, a neighbour spotted the suspect and immediately alerted the others.
Even though there was a minor scuffle and commotion while trying to apprehend the suspect, no one was injured.
Some policemen arrived within minutes to get the suspect after being notified.
The man is now under a four-day remand order until Feb 17.
