This happened yesterday and it was carried out as he was being suspected to be involved in substance abuse.

Bau OCPD DSP Poge Nyaon in a statement, said the raid was carried out towards a house in Kampung Jagoi Sri’eng around 11.30am.

“The team inspected a room in the back of a house and found a 21-year-old man resting and unaware of the presence of police.

“It led to the seizures of two plastic packets containing crystalline substance believed to be syabu. The drugs weighing 0.48g, was found on the table,” he said.

Both the suspect and the drugs were taken to the police station for further action.

Investigation found that the suspect had been involved in substance abuse due to peer influence for the past few years.

Poge said the suspect who did not have any past record, was tested positive for drugs.
