He was officiating at a Tadarus Al-Quran ceremony and presentation of Ramadan donations.

In his speech Junaidi reminded the parents to prepare their children with the right Islamic values to face the challenges and influences in today’s social media era.

According to him, the influences from social media which are easy to access will become a medium for Islamic State (IS) or Daesh to promote their negative ideology especially to children.

“Our children have yet to understand fully the true and real meaning of Islam. Hence, through social media, all type of messages and propagandas from Daesh or IS can easily be spread,

“Therefore, as adult Muslims we should play our role in guiding our children not to be influenced by such messages and propagandas,” he said, adding that parents must monitor their children’s activities especially when they surfed the Internet and social media.
