KUCHING: Pantai Damai assemblyman Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman yesterday donated qurban (sacrificial) meat to household heads from three villages, namely, Kampung Bintawa Ulu, Kampung Bintawa Tengah and Kampung Bintawa Hilir in conjunction with Aidiladha.

The event was held in collaboration with the Pantai Damai Service Centre.

“Thank you for working together to make today’s slaughtering programme a success. I am grateful that this afternoon we were able to gather in Kampung Bintawa Tengah,” said Dr Abdul Rahman who is also Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication in his speech yesterday.

“The celebration of Eid al-Adha is indeed synonymous with the ceremony of sacrifice. This year, we have chosen Kampung Bintawa Tengah as the host for the distribution of meat.

“The commitment and generosity exhibited by the residents exemplify the spirit of Eid al-Adha and the community’s dedication in helping those in need.

“Kampung Bintawa Tengah has undoubtedly set an inspiring example of unity, compassion and mutual cooperation, making this year’s sacrifice ceremony a resounding success.
