Rep hands over donation to storm victim

KUCHING: Tanjong Datu assemblymen, Azizul Annuar Pehin Sri Adenan extended a donation to the victim affected by the storm that blew off the roof of the kitchen.

It resulted in the total demolish of the kitchen structure of the house belonging to Fatimah Dani in Kampung Stunggang Melayu Lama yesterday.

The victim, Fatimah Dani who was not at home at the time of the incident said, this is the third time her house has been hit by a storm and the roof has also been repaired through the Sarawak Poor House Improvement Project (PPRMS) Tanjong Datu but this is the worst as the fan, the stove and lamps were also blown away by the wind.

Village head (KK) Azmi Mahdar said that he and the Village Development and Safety Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Stunggang Melayu Lama will do their best to help the victim because this is the third time this house has been hit by storm.

Donations in the form of cash and kitchen items were presented by the secretary of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Tanjong Datu Branch, Counselor Abdul Razak Abdul Wahab and at the same time, Lundu District Social Welfare Department also sent donations and inspected the surroundings of the house.

Also present was PBB Women chief of Tanjong Datu, Cr Fatimah Abdullah; the head of the PBB Kampung Stunggang Melayu Lama Branch, Jamari Garinti and the committee of the Women’s Branch of PBB Tanjong Datu.
