Rider fractures leg in collision with car

SIBU: A rider sustained a fracture in his left leg when his motorcycle collided with a car on Jalan Kampung Nyabor on Sunday.

According to Fire and Rescue Department, the 26-year-old rider was traveling alone towards Kampung Nyabor when the accident occurred.

Upon receiving an emergency call around 10.30pm, firemen from Sibu central station rushed to the scene.

They confirmed that the accident involved a Honda motorcycle and a Perodua Kancil.

The collision happened when the rider lost control and crashed into the side of the Kancil, which was also traveling in the same direction. The driver of the car is a 40-year-old man.

As a result of the impact, the rider was thrown onto the road and suffered a fractured left leg, as well as other injuries.

The injured rider received initial treatment at the scene before being transported to Sibu Hospital for further medical attention.

In addition to assisting the injured individual, the firemen also carried out cleaning work to remove an oil spill from the road. The operation ended by 11.10pm.
