Rinwood Awards invites applications from B40 group

MIRI: Applications for the Rinwood Awards are now open, with the deadline fixed for June 30 this year.

According to Rinwood Education Unit chairman Hii Wei Wen, entry is open to those in the B40 group.

“The Rinwood Awards is available to eligible students from lower income families who would not otherwise have the opportunity to undertake studies at a university in Malaysia,” he said on Monday here.

The Award is open to all new Sarawakian students enrolled full time for pre-university foundation, diploma, professional courses, undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees.

The selection criteria of the Rinwood Awards include academic merits, financial background, extra-curricular activities and leadership skills as well as personal statement.
