MIRI: The residents of Kampung Long Jegan A, Tinjar received RM200,000 worth of construction materials.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit report, the assistance was from Deputy Minister I for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil and was handed over on Sunday (April 10).
“The assistance is aimed to ease the burden of the villagers as they seek to build new homes following a fire in 2014 that razed 31 units.
“Among the materials donated were Spandex roofing, plywood and nails.”
The residents thanked the Marudi assemblyman as well as the Sarawak government for providing the assistance.
