KUCHING: Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah says the newly launched Royal Kuching Cruise will play a crucial role in driving economic growth and community development here.

The Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts added that the cruise would create entrepreneurial and employment opportunities through collaborations with local communities, artisans and suppliers.

“This is a significant milestone in Sarawak’s rapidly growing tourism industry. It supports the local economy and preserves our cultural heritage, ensuring that the benefits of tourism are shared by all,” he said during the launch at Kuching Waterfront on Wednesday (July 12).
