Royal visitors depart Kuching

Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin look at a photo album of their visit to Sarawak.

KUCHING: His Royal Highness Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj, and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, left for Selangor at 1:16 pm today after a four-day visit to Kuching.


G3: Sultan Sharafuddin, together with Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, take a commemorative photo with the State Protocol and Event Management Unit (UPPANS) before their departure.

The royal couple were seen off at the Kuching International Airport by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr. Sim Kui Hian and wife Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean, as well as Speaker of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar and his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Fatimah Mohd. Iskandar.


Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin accompanied by Dr Sim and others at Kuching International Airport.

Meanwhile, the Crown Prince of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah, left earlier at 10:15 am after accompanying his parents during their three-day visit to the state.

Sultan Sharafuddin had presided at the 47th Convocation ceremony of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Session 1 at UPM Bintulu Campus before continuing his official visit with Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin in Kuching, from November 4.
