KUCHING: There is simply no truth in the statement by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal that Sabah and Sarawak are one territory.

The Federal Constitution and the Malaysia Agreement clearly state that Malaysia is formed by three different territories, namely, Malaya, Sarawak and Sabah, said Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Refuting the claims by Shafie, he urged the Sabah Chief Minister to stick to what was stated in the constitution and MA63.

He said this during a press conference after chairing PBB supreme council meeting at the PBB headquarters in Jalan Bako yesterday.

Shafie was recently also quoted as calling on all parties concerned to support efforts by the government to restore the status of Sarawak and Sabah as one territory.

On a separate issue, Abang Johari denied rumours of state cabinet reshuffle.

He was asked to comment on a speculation in Chinese dailies recently, that Sarawak might see a cabinet reshuffle soon.
