KUCHING: The Covid-19 pandemic may have stopped us from travelling around the world, but it certainly didn’t stop sape artiste Alena Murang from bagging an award from Argentina recently.

The 31-year-old of Kelabit and English-Italian parentage won an award for the ‘Best Styling’ category at the Buenos Aires Music Video Festival for her ‘Midang Midang’ music video, making the country, especially Sarawak, proud of her achievement.

Alena attributed the award to the team involved in the production of the music video, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

“I am so honoured and grateful for this award and I’m so proud of the whole team.

“We are honoured to be able to showcase Sarawak to the rest of the world through our music and fashion in the music video,” she told New Sarawak Tribune when contacted recently.
