KUCHING: The Sarawak government is making significant progress in its collaboration with X-FAB Global Services to produce semiconductor and microchip materials locally.

Board of Directors of X-FAB Europe member Roland Duchatelet expressed gratitude for the state government’s support since the company’s establishment in Sarawak in 2006.

The government’s assistance has played a crucial role in the company’s growth and development.

“Additionally, the state government holds two seats on our company’s board of directors and owns approximately 15 per cent of the company’s shares. Their involvement has positively influenced our company’s management,” he said.

Duchatelet said this during a courtesy visit to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday (July 24).

During his visit, Duchatelet also praised Sarawak’s rapid development and commendable urban planning system.
